~ Parks & Recreation is offering early bird registration for its Youth Basketball League (ages 6 to 14) and Peewee Basketball (age 5) starting Monday, November 20 at noon. The Youth Basketball League registration costs $55 + tax during the early bird period from November 20 to December 3, and $65 + tax during the late registration period from December 4 until full. Peewee Basketball registration costs $40 + tax and runs from November 20 until full.
Registration is first come, first served and space is limited. In the case of low registration numbers, divisions may be combined. Scholarships are available; contact Recreation Coordinator Amanda Lovejoy at (907) 586-2635 ext. 4156 for more information.

Youth Basketball League focuses on skill development, fun, and sportsmanship for newcomers and returning players. The season runs January 8 – March 9 with one hour practices once a week and games on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., with kids needing to turn 6 years old by January 13, 2024 in order to play. Peewee Basketball is for boys and girls age 5 with the season running January 13 – February 17 with one hour practices once a week for six weeks total, with kids needing to turn 5 by January 13, 2024 in order to play.
