~ The preliminary unofficial results for the 2025 CBJ Regular Municipal Election have been released on the CBJ Elections webpage. As of Monday, October 6, all received and verified ballots have been included in the results. It is estimated that these results represent approximately 50-60% of the final and total ballot count, based on previous election trends.
Election Day for this year's by-mail Municipal Election was held on October 7, 2025. Ballots were mailed to voters on September 19 and began returning on September 22. In order to be counted, all ballots had to be returned by 8:00 p.m. or postmarked on Election Day.
However, there are still ballots that are being processed from various sources such as Vote Centers, Ballot Drop Boxes, and those that were mailed and postmarked by Election Day. A second set of unofficial results will be posted on Friday, October 10 with further updates to follow until certification is complete.

As part of the review process, cure letters are being sent to voters who may have missing information or signature issues with their ballots. These letters aim to ensure that any necessary remedies are addressed so that the ballot can be counted. Voters are encouraged to respond as soon as they receive a cure letter in order for their ballot to be included in the final official results.
The Canvass Review Board is scheduled to meet on October 20-21 to review and certify the election. The final official results will then be posted once certification is complete on October 21. However, there may be a delay of up to three days in certification if needed.
For any questions or concerns regarding the election process, individuals can contact the Ballot Processing Center at 907-586-5278 (option 4). The Clerk's/Elections Office will also open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8.
