ANCHORAGE, Alaska - AkGlobe -- The University of Alaska Center for Economic Development (UAA CED) proudly announced SWOOP as the winner of the 2025 Alaska Angel Conference, awarding the company $100,000 in local investment at the event held at The Nave in Anchorage.
The Alaska Angel Conference brought together a full house of founders, investors, and community leaders to celebrate and support Alaska-based entrepreneurship. The energy and engagement throughout the evening reflected the strength of Alaska's innovation ecosystem and the high caliber of businesses being built across the state.
SWOOP emerged as the top investment recipient after a multi-week process of investors working with four exceptional finalists, Swoop, Beaded Cloud, AirVitalize and Activo. Their pitches demonstrated disciplined strategy, strong market understanding, and meaningful growth potential. Beaded Cloud was additionally honored with the People's Choice Award, reflecting strong support from attendees and the broader entrepreneurial community.
