Over the 14-day period from December 28 to January 10, there were 29 people in Juneau who tested positive for COVID-19 (that's down from 42 during the previous two weeks):
The disease continues to move across all disease acquisition types: secondary transmission, travel, and community spread. Residents are cautioned to strictly adhere to all health orders related to travel and to continue strict adherence to masking and social distancing when outside your immediate home.

- Although nine of these cases were tested through CBJ's Asymptomatic Testing effort, which ran December 30 – January 10, none of these cases were truly asymptomatic. According to Public Health, they had all experienced symptoms prior to testing.
- There was no reported case activity associated with a cluster.
- Public Health attributed 31 percent to out-of-state travel, 28 percent of cases to secondary transmission, 24 percent to community spread, and 17 percent of the cases remain under investigation.
- 95 percent of cases were contacted for contact tracing within 24 hours of a positive test being returned.
- Disease spread was across all age groups, most racial groups (the category of individuals who self-identify as white is highest with 19), and was more prevalent in males than females (62 percent/38 percent)
