~ The City and Borough of Juneau will be implementing a 2% utility rate increase effective July 1, as approved by the Assembly in August of 2019. This increase applies to both water and sewer utility rates and is in line with inflationary cost increases.
According to the CBJ Utilities Division's Current Utility Rates page, customers can find the new rates listed. It is important for all Bill-Pay customers to update their accounts to reflect the new rates in order to avoid any billing discrepancies.

The revenue generated from these rate increases will go towards operating and maintaining major water and wastewater infrastructure systems, as well as debt financing from Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation loans. Additionally, funds will be allocated towards capital projects aimed at addressing failing infrastructure or meeting regulatory compliance standards.
