Juneau: Try out speed skating at Treadwell Arena starting October 8

~ Treadwell Arena is offering drop-in speed skating clinics on Sundays throughout the season, beginning with a free session on October 8. The hour-long clinics will take place at 2:45 p.m. every other Sunday and cost $15 after October 8. Skaters can register online in advance or drop in at their convenience. Participants must be at least 12 years of age and possess intermediate skating skills, such as being able to skate comfortably and perform a snowplow stop. Helmets are required during the clinic, with a limited number available to borrow or skaters can bring their own. For more information, visit treadwellarena.org.
