~ The community of Jackie Renninger is eagerly anticipating the completion of the new skate park at Jackie Renninger Park. The conceptual master plan for the park has been finalized, thanks to the input and involvement of the public. This process was crucial in ensuring that the park meets the needs of both the neighborhood and the larger community.
The next step in this exciting project is the conceptual design for a new skate plaza and covered skate park. To gather feedback from skaters and skate park users, CBJ, Corvus Design, and New Line Skatepark will be hosting a meeting on Tuesday, February 11 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Mendenhall Valley Library. This meeting will provide an opportunity for attendees to see the latest conceptual designs and share their thoughts on what they would like to see in the skate park.

For those unable to attend in person, there is also an option to join the meeting via Zoom at bit.ly/SkateParkMtg. The feedback gathered from this meeting will be used by Corvus Design and New Line Skatepark as they finalize the conceptual layout for the skate park.
The redesign of Pipeline Skate Park, which includes structural and safety improvements, is part of a larger project -the Jackie Renninger Park Master Plan. This plan also includes eight new pickleball courts, a playground, day-use shelters, a dog park, walking trail, multi-court area, disc-golf course, restrooms, and other amenities to cater to both local residents and visitors.
To stay updated on this project's progress or view previous presentations and designs, visit the Jackie Renninger Master Plan project page. For any questions about the upcoming meeting or project in general, contact CBJ Project Manager Jason Hoffbauer at (907) 586-0800.
The completion of this new skate park will not only provide a fun recreational space for skaters but also enhance Jackie Renninger Park as a whole. The community's involvement in the planning process has been crucial, and their feedback will continue to shape the park's development.
