~ As the summer season kicks off, the CBJ Parks & Recreation department and Corvus Design are teaming up to host a public meeting on Monday, June 24 at the Mendenhall Valley Library. The meeting, which will run from 6 – 7:30 p.m., aims to present four conceptual master plan options for Jackie Renninger Park.

The community is encouraged to attend this meeting and gain insight into the different plans being proposed. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the plans.

One of the main focuses of this meeting will be the Pipeline Skate Park within Jackie Renninger Park. Currently, this popular park is in need of structural and safety improvements. In light of these necessary updates, Parks & Rec is taking this opportunity to explore additional features that could enhance the park and better serve local residents.

This public meeting follows previous park planning events such as an interactive design meeting, a Pipeline Skate Park youth meeting, and a community survey. During the interactive design meeting, park users and community members were able to share their ideas for park features through hands-on activities. This valuable input has contributed to the four master plan options that will be presented at this upcoming meeting.

For any questions or concerns, please contact Parks & Recreation at (907) 586-5226. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have your voice heard and help shape the future of Jackie Renninger Park!
