~ Juneau Pools, a popular swimming facility in the city, has announced that they will be offering a new session of beginner and intermediate swim lessons for preschool and youth age groups. The lessons will take place at both the Augustus G. Brown Swimming Pool and Dimond Park Aquatic Center during the months of November and December.
Registration for these classes will open on Thursday, November 7 at noon through the Parks & Rec registration catalog. Interested individuals can access the registration portal by clicking on the "Juneau Pools" tab. It is important to note that registrations will not be accepted over the phone, in person, or in advance.
However, it is essential for swimmers to meet certain prerequisites before registering for any classes beyond Level 1. This means that those who have not attended a Juneau Pools swim lesson placement session or passed the preceding class within the last six months will not be eligible to register for upper level classes. To arrange a swim test, interested individuals can contact Ellen Johnston at (907) 586-0839 ext. 4148.
