~ Juneau Pools, a popular swimming facility in the city, has announced their plans to offer a variety of swim lessons for children during the upcoming summer season. These lessons will be available at both the Dimond Park Aquatic Center and Augustus G. Brown Swimming Pool.
According to the press release, registration for these lessons will open online on Friday, May 24 at noon through the Parks & Rec registration catalog. Interested parents can click on the "Juneau Pools" tab to access the registration portal. It is important to note that registrations will not be accepted over the phone, in person, or in advance.
However, there are certain prerequisites that swimmers must meet in order to register for classes beyond Level 1. This includes attending a Juneau Pools swim lesson placement session or passing the preceding class within the last six months. Those who do not meet these requirements will not be able to register for upper level classes.
To ensure that as many young swimmers as possible can participate during the busy summer season, sign-ups are currently limited to one class per swimmer.
In addition to beginner and intermediate lessons for preschool and youth age groups, Juneau Pools will also offer Parent & Tot swim lessons during the summer. More information about these classes will be announced soon.
