~ As the summer season approaches, CBJ Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the opening of registration for their newest youth sports program, Start Smart Tennis. Beginning Monday, June 17 at noon, parents and guardians can sign up their children ages 5-7 for this supportive and engaging program.

Under the Youth & Teen tab on the CBJ Parks & Recreation website, interested participants can register online for this first come, first served program. Any registrations received after the session is full will be placed on a waitlist.

Held every Tuesday from July 9 through August 13 at Cope Park, Start Smart Tennis offers a unique opportunity for children to learn the basic skills of tennis in a non-competitive and safe environment. With an adult in their life as their partner, children will learn ground strokes, serving, volleying, and running/agility without any pressure or fear of getting hurt. In fact, adults are encouraged to actively participate in the program alongside their child.
