~ Juneau Pools, a popular swimming facility in the city, has announced the launch of a new session of swim lessons for beginners and intermediate swimmers. The lessons will be available for both preschool and youth age groups at the Augustus G. Brown Swimming Pool in August and September.
According to the press release, registration for these classes will open online on Friday, August 9 at noon through the Parks & Rec registration catalog. Interested individuals can access the registration portal by clicking on the "Juneau Pools" tab. It is important to note that registrations will not be accepted over the phone, in person, or in advance.
However, it is essential for swimmers to meet certain prerequisites before registering for classes beyond Level 1. Those who have not attended a Juneau Pools swim lesson placement session or passed the preceding class within the last six months will not be eligible to register for upper level classes. To arrange a swim test, interested individuals can contact Ellen Johnston at (907) 586-0839 ext. 4148.
