~ As the fall season approaches, parents of young children in the community are getting ready to register for Parks & Recreation's Start Smart Sports program. The program, designed for children ages 3-5, aims to introduce them to various sports and develop their motor skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Registration for the program will open on Tuesday, September 2 at noon. Interested families can sign up online at bit.ly/registerCBJparks under the "Youth & Teen" tab. However, with only 23 spots available, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all spots are filled, additional sign-ups will be placed on a waitlist.

The program will run every Wednesday from October 1 to November 5 at the Floyd Dryden Gymnasium from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The cost of the program is $40 plus tax, which includes a Start Smart T-shirt for each participant.
For families who may need financial assistance, there is an option to apply for scholarships. The online scholarship form can be found at bit.ly/ZGYCscholarship and must be completed by August 30. For any questions regarding scholarships, Amanda Lovejoy can be contacted at (907) 586-2635 ext.4156.
