~ As the fall season approaches, parents of young children are eagerly looking for ways to keep their little ones active and engaged. Luckily, the Parks & Recreation department has just announced the opening of registration for their Start Smart Sports program for children ages 3-5.

According to the department's press release, registration will open on Monday, August 26 at noon and can be done online under the "Youth & Teen" tab. However, with only 23 spots available, interested parents are encouraged to register as soon as possible as it will be on a first come, first served basis. Any registrations received after all spots have been filled will be placed on a waitlist.

The Start Smart Sports sessions will take place on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. starting September 7 through October 12. The program will be held at two different locations - Dimond Park Field House from September 7-28 and Floyd Dryden Gymnasium from October 5-12.
