~ Juneau Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the opening of registration for their popular Start Smart Baseball and Softball program for children ages 3-4. The registration will open on Friday, March 1 at noon and there are only 25 spots available. Interested parents can register their child online under the "Youth & Teen" section on the Parks & Recreation website.
The program costs $40 plus tax, which includes a Start Smart t-shirt for each participant. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis and any registrations received after the session is full will be placed on a waitlist.
For families who may need financial assistance, scholarships are available. They can contact Recreation Coordinator Amanda Lovejoy at (907) 586-2635 ext. 4156 for more information.

The Start Smart program is specifically designed for children between the ages of 3-4, with participants required to be at least 3 years old by the first session. The sessions will take place every Saturday from March 23 to April 27 at the Dimond Park Field House from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
This program provides a supportive environment for children to learn the basic skills of baseball such as throwing, catching, hitting, and agility while working with an adult in their lives. Adults are encouraged to actively participate in the program alongside their child.
