~ The Perseverance Trail will experience a temporary closure on Monday, August 19, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. This closure is due to the transportation of construction material for the Gold Creek bridge along the trail corridor. Coastal Helicopters will be assisting in this process by slinging loads of material from the Last Chance Basin parking lot to the bridge construction site, located 2.5 miles up the trail from the trailhead parking lot.

Once the helicopter operations are complete, access to Perseverance Trail will reopen in the afternoon. However, it is important to note that a section of the trail from Granite Creek intersection to Upper Red Mill juncture will remain closed until the new bridge is fully installed. To ensure safety for all, hikers are advised to follow signed detours and avoid the construction site.
