~ The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation Department has announced that reservations for their winter shelters are now open. From September 16 to April 14, individuals can reserve a shelter for $25 per hour plus tax.
Reservations can be made through various methods, including online, in person at the Parks & Recreation main office, or by emailing a reservation form. However, it is important to note that park bathrooms will not be open during the winter months. Instead, portable toilets will be available at Savikko Park and Twin Lakes.

The winter shelter rate of $25 is lower than the summer rate due to reduced maintenance costs. The level of maintenance will depend on weather conditions and staff availability.
If a shelter is not reserved, it will still be available for public use on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested in reserving a shelter can visit the Parks & Recreation Shelter Reservations page for more information on parking, capacity, and on-site facilities.
For any further inquiries or information about the winter shelters, individuals can contact Parks & Recreation at (907) 586-5226. Don't miss out on reserving your spot for a cozy winter gathering in one of Juneau's beautiful parks!
