~ The City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska Assembly will be holding a public hearing on Monday, September 11th, 2023 at 7pm. The meeting will be held in the Assembly Chambers and can also be accessed via Zoom webinar. Those wishing to provide oral testimony must notify the Municipal Clerk prior to 4pm the day of the meeting by calling 907-586-5278 and indicating the topic(s) upon which they wish to testify. For in-person participation at the meeting, a sign-up sheet will be made available at the back of the Chambers and advance sign-up is not required.
The agenda and packet material for the meetings will be posted on the CBJ website at https://juneau-ak.municodemeetings.com/ by close of business the business day prior to the meetings. Members of the public are encouraged to send their comments in advance of the meeting to
The two items scheduled for public hearing are Ordinance 2022-07(b)(B) An Ordinance Appropriating $3,680,701 from the Central Treasury for FY23 School District Operations; Funding Provided by State Revenue and Private Grants; and Ordinance 2023-14(b)(K) An Ordinance Appropriating $600,000 to the Manager for Gate K Culvert Reconstruction Capital Improvement Project; Funding Provided by Airport Funds.

The first ordinance appropriates $3,680,701 from Central Treasury funds for FY23 School District Operations with funding provided by state revenue and private grants while second ordinance appropriates $600,000 towards Gate K Culvert Reconstruction Capital Improvement Project with funding provided by airport funds. Members of public may participate in person or via Zoom webinar with testimony time limited by Mayor based on number of participants.
