~ Starting on Monday, February 5, Capital Transit will be implementing a series of changes to their services in order to enhance the overall travel experience for their patrons. These changes will affect express, connector, and commuter routes and will include the addition of new stops.
One of the major changes is the addition of new stops on Routes 5 and 6 near Safeway and SEARHC on Vintage Boulevard. These stops will provide easy connections at the Valley Transit Center. Additionally, Route 7 will now have afternoon runs departing at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. from the Downtown Transit Center.
The Valley Express on Route 8 will now depart from the Downtown Transit Center five minutes earlier and travel along Mendenhall Loop and Riverside Drive. Riders can also flag down the bus on Riverside Drive where it is safe to do so.

Inbound service from the Valley Transit Center on Route 9 has been consolidated to one run at 6:40 a.m. As an alternative, riders can use Route 8 which now serves Riverside Drive. Furthermore, Route 10 has been discontinued and riders are advised to use Route 8 with stops along Mendenhall Loop Road and Riverside Drive instead.
