For complete and up ~ Juneau, Alaska - As the community continues to recover from the recent floods, the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) is providing residents with complete and up-to-date resources and information through their website, juneau.org/manager/flood-response. For any questions or concerns, individuals can also email the designated address.
In the past week, there has been a decrease in demand for disaster debris collection. However, CBJ acknowledges that there are still several homes in need of removing damaged items and materials. To accommodate these requests, starting on Wednesday, September 4th, CBJ will be collecting debris by request. Residents are advised to continue bagging and moving their debris to the right-of-way and then email CBJ with their street address when they are ready for collection.

In partnership with organizations such as Alaska Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (DHS&EM), CBJ was able to provide many residents with dehumidifiers and fans for clean-up and repair work. If individuals wish to keep these items permanently, they are welcome to do so. However, for those who do not have storage space, a drop-off tent will be open from Thursday, September 5th until Saturday, September 7th in the area between Mendenhall Valley Library and Dimond Park Aquatic Center where they can return their dehumidifier or fan for CBJ to store.
The community is grateful for the support from partner organizations during this difficult time and encourages residents to take advantage of these resources as they continue to recover from the floods.
