~ As the spooky season approaches, Parks & Recreation is gearing up for a frightfully fun time with their upcoming community Halloween events. On October 25 and 26, residents are invited to join in on the festivities.
The first event, taking place on Friday, October 25, is a free Halloween Skate at Treadwell Arena from 7-8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their best costumes for a chance to win prizes. Skate rentals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is generously sponsored by Juneau Pediatric Dentistry.

The following day, Saturday, October 26, guests can give themselves the shivers with a dive-in movie at Dimond Park Aquatic Center. The showing of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (PG) will begin at 6:15 p.m., thanks to the generous sponsorship of Glacier Pediatrics. Locker rooms will open at 6 p.m. and guests can queue in the lobby. However, space is limited to a maximum of 100 guests. Regular pool admission fees apply and pool passes will be accepted.
