The ribbon ~ Juneau's Aurora Harbor is celebrating the completion of its Phase III project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and customer appreciation cook-out on Monday, June 24. The event, hosted by CBJ Docks & Harbors, will be open to the public.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. and will feature speeches from Lieutenant Governor Nancy Dahlstrom and Deputy Mayor Michelle Bonnet Hale. Attendees can park along the Aurora Harbor frontage road.

Phase III, also known as the H Float, adds 60-foot/48-foot vessel slips and 280 linear feet of transient moorage to the harbor. It also includes electrical service, potable water, and firefighting water for the H Float. The $4.25 million project was awarded to Trucano Construction in April 2023 and was funded by CBJ Harbor Enterprise funds, the 2017 CBJ 1% Sales Tax Initiative, and a $2 million grant from ADOT.
