Juneau: Jan. 15-17 vaccine clinic is at Centennial Hall (despite what confirmation email says) & other notes about the clinic

At noon today, January 11, the City and Borough of Juneau opened registration for Juneau seniors (age 65 and up) and health care workers to sign up for a COVID-19 vaccine. Within 25 minutes, all appointments for the January 15-17 COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic were booked. If you are not able to get an appointment, do not worry. Additional clinics will be held as more vaccine becomes available. In time, every Juneau resident who wants a COVID-19 vaccine will get one.

If you were able to make an appointment, here are some notes:

• The confirmation email you received indicates the venue/location as Bartlett Regional Hospital. Bartlett Regional Hospital is one of the clinic organizers, but the clinic location will be at Centennial Hall, 101 Egan Drive. CBJ apologizes for any confusion that may cause. Again, your vaccine appointment is at Centennial Hall.
• Each appointment will take about 25 minutes. People with appointments should bring an ID to the clinic and arrive no earlier than five minutes before their scheduled time. If you show up earlier than that, please plan to wait in your vehicle until your appointment time. After checking in and getting the vaccine, you'll be monitored for 15 minutes for any adverse reactions. Everyone at the clinic is required to wear a mask.
• Appointments for the second vaccine dose will be made while you're at the clinic.
