~ A water main break was reported by City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) Utility staff on December 25 at around 8:00 p.m. The break was detected in the lower Industrial Boulevard area, specifically between Crazy Horse Drive and Maier Drive. After further investigation, the utility staff were able to isolate the break to a smaller area that includes multiple businesses and one residence.
As a precautionary measure, potable water services to the affected area have been shut down for the evening. The CBJ work crew will be responding first thing in the morning to repair the water main and restore service to the impacted properties. The affected property owners have been notified and can contact the CBJ Water Utility at (907) 723-2201 for any further information.
