Last day to register as a write-in candidate for CBJ municipal election
Today, Tuesday, September 27, is the last day to register as a write-in candidate for the 2022 CBJ Regular Municipal Election. To file as a write-in candidate, fill out the "Letter of Intent to file for a Write-In Candidacy" form along with the required Alaska Public Offices Commission (APOC) Public Official Financial Disclosure (POFD) statement, available on the CBJ Elections home page, and file no later than 4:30 p.m. today. Filing can be done in person at the CBJ Ballot Processing Center (located at 1325 Eastaugh Way) or via email by sending it to CBJ.Elections@juneau.org, with paper copy to follow.
In accordance with CBJ Code 29.07.150(d), write-in votes will not be counted unless the candidate has filed a letter of intent along with the accompanying APOC POFD statement.

Today is also the deadline to request a ballot in the mail at a temporary address. To do so, fill out the application form on the CBJ Elections home page and submit it in person at the CBJ Ballot Processing Center (located 1325 Eastaugh Way) or via email by sending it to CBJ.Elections@juneau.org no later than 4:30 p.m. today.
Voters who need to request a ballot after September 27 may request a fax/e-ballot or visit a Juneau Vote Center. For more information on how to request and submit a fax e-ballot, visit the CBJ Elections home page.
Vote Centers, where voters can receive voter assistance, request and vote a replacement ballot, or drop off voted ballots they received in the mail, are open at the following hours and locations:
City Hall Assembly Chambers, 155 S. Seward Street
September 19 to October 3: Weekdays 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Election Day, October 4: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Mendenhall Valley Public Library, 3025 Dimond Park Loop
September 19 to October 3: Weekdays 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Election Day, October 4: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
