~ Juneau residents will have to find alternative swimming options as the Dimond Park Aquatic Center (DPAC) will be closed for two weeks starting April 29. The closure is due to the center's annual maintenance, which includes draining and refilling all three pools, re-lamping the natatorium and underwater lights, servicing equipment, deep cleaning the pool deck, and tile work.

During this time, the Augustus G. Brown Swimming Pool (AGB) will be open to the public. To make up for the temporary closure of DPAC, AGB will be offering four-week swim lesson sessions starting on April 29. Interested individuals can register online starting April 19 at noon. The AGB's hours and activities can be found on the calendar at juneaupools.org.

The DPAC is set to reopen on Monday, May 13. For any further information or inquiries about the closure and alternative options, residents can contact Seth Cayce at (907) 586-0839.
