The Juneau ~ The Juneau-Douglas City Museum has been chosen to participate in the prestigious Museum Social Impact in Practice (MSIIP) cohort, led by the American Alliance for Museums (AAM) and funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. This initiative aims to equip museum staff with the skills and knowledge to effectively utilize social impact data collected over the next few years.
Out of a pool of applicants, the Juneau-Douglas City Museum was one of forty museums selected from 25 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. The diverse group includes a range of institutions such as small regional art museums, historic houses, children's museums, science centers, and more. This selection highlights the museum's commitment to making a positive impact on its community.
