~ As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, Treadwell Arena is gearing up to host two beloved annual events: Turkey Bowling and Santa Skate. And the best part? Both events will be free for attendees this year!
On Wednesday, November 27 from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., skaters can trade in their bowling balls for frozen turkeys and compete in a game of Turkey Bowling. Sponsored by Juneau-Gastineau Rotary, participants can enjoy open skate while trying to knock down the most pins for a chance to take home a turkey.
Then on Friday, November 29 from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., Santa and his elves will be lacing up their skates and hitting the ice for Santa Skate. This event, generously sponsored by Douglas Fourth of July Committee, is sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

Both events will offer free admission and skate rentals, but be sure to arrive early as rental skates are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
And if you're already feeling festive, mark your calendars for Parks & Recreation's 5th Annual Candy Cane Hunt from December 3 to 17. More details will be announced soon.
For more information on these events, contact Treadwell Arena at (907) 586-0410 or visit treadwellarena.org. Don't miss out on these fun-filled holiday activities!
