~ The City and Borough of Juneau has launched an online form to register short-term rental properties with the city. The form, which takes 5-10 minutes to complete, can be found at shorttermrentals.ci.juneau.ak.us. This step is part of Ordinance 2023-26(c)(am), adopted by the CBJ Assembly on July 10, which requires short-term rental operators to register their properties with the CBJ Sales Tax Office.

The registration process is simple and straightforward, requiring basic information such as State of Alaska business license number, property location, and rental capacity. The form can be filled out on a computer or mobile phone, or alternatively downloaded as a pdf and submitted to the CBJ Sales Tax Office via email, postal mail or in person.
