~ Starting today, September 3, commuters and shoppers in downtown Juneau may experience some changes in their bus routes. Construction at Glacier Avenue and West 8th Street will temporarily limit outbound bus service from certain stops in the area.

According to Capital Transit, the affected stops include Foodland IGA, the Federal Building, and 12th Street. Passengers who usually use these stops are advised to take an inbound bus to the State Museum on Whittier Street and transfer there to an outbound bus.

It is important to note that this interruption only affects outbound buses. Inbound buses traveling downtown will continue to stop at these locations as usual.

Once construction is completed, bus service will resume at the affected stops. The team at Capital Transit appreciates the patience of its passengers during this time.
