Juneau: Apply for the Board of Equalization or a CBJ Enterprise Board by December 4

~ The City and Borough of Juneau is currently accepting applications for three seats on the Planning Commission, three seats on the Bartlett Regional Hospital Board, and one seat on the Systemic Racism Review Committee. The terms for these positions will run from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026. Applications are due by Monday, December 4 at 11:59 p.m.

The Clerk's Office will email applicants advanced interview questions specific to each board after receiving their application. Those who return the questions within the allotted time will be scheduled for a 10-minute interview with the full Assembly sitting as the Assembly Human Resources Committee. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for December 13 and/or 14 depending on the number of applications received.

The Board of Equalization is also looking to fill four seats with various unexpired terms beginning in May through July of 2024. Applications are due by Wednesday, December 6 and the Assembly Human Resources Committee will review applications and make recommendations to the Assembly for appointment at its regular meeting on Monday, December 11.

Those interested in serving on any of CBJ's 30+ boards or committees can submit an application online at juneau.org/clerk/boards-committees which will stay on file for one year and be reviewed as part of the appointment process as vacancies arise for the board/committee of interest.
