~ The Juneau Affordable Housing Fund (JAHF) is set to open its fourth round of competitive funding on Monday, July 15, 2024. This initiative, led by the CBJ Assembly, aims to increase the availability of affordable and middle-income housing in the community.
With a commitment of $4 million from the JAHF, for-profit developers, non-profit organizations, public and regional housing authorities, and tribal governments are encouraged to apply for grants or loans to cover capital costs associated with housing development.
Since its establishment in 2021, the JAHF has supported various projects that have resulted in the creation of 315 new housing units for seniors, vulnerable populations, and low- and middle-income residents. These projects have also brought an estimated $68 million worth of investment to the community.
