~ After an extensive nationwide search, the Airport Manager Hiring Committee of the City and Borough of Juneau has announced the selection of two finalists for the position. The candidates will participate in community meet and greets and interviews with the Airport Board of Directors and Hiring Committee on June 11 and 12, 2025.
The two finalists, Michael Clow and Michael Isaacs, were chosen from a pool of highly qualified applicants. Both candidates have impressive backgrounds in airport management and bring a wealth of experience to the table.
Michael Clow, whose resume can be viewed by the public, has a strong background in airport executive management. He has held leadership roles at both commercial service and general aviation airports. Prior to his current position as the manager of MJC Aviation Services, Clow served as Governmental Affairs and Grants Administration Manager for the Delaware River and Bay Authority. In this role, he successfully managed legislative strategy, engaged stakeholders, and secured over $30 million in grant funding for various transportation projects. Clow also has experience as Assistant Manager and Chief Operating Officer at Republic Airport in New York, where he oversaw operations, security, finance, and a $20 million capital program.

The other finalist is Michael Isaacs, whose resume is also available for public viewing. With over 25 years of experience in airport and transportation management, Isaacs brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. He has held positions as Airport Director at Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport in Idaho where he managed budgets, oversaw capital projects, administered property leases, and worked on expanding air service. Isaacs also has experience as an Airport Manager for regional airports in South Dakota and Montana.
As part of the selection process for the new Airport Manager, members of the public are invited to attend two events where they can meet each candidate and submit comment cards that will be reviewed by the Airport Board and Hiring Committee.
On Wednesday June 11, 2025, Michael Clow will be available for a public meet and greet from 4:30-5:30 pm at the Alaska Room in Juneau International Airport. This will be followed by an interview with the Hiring Committee and Airport Board from 5:30-6:30 pm. While the majority of the interview will be held in public, the end of each interview will be conducted in executive session.

The following day, Thursday June 12, 2025, Michael Isaacs will have his public meet and greet from 4:30-5:30 pm at the Alaska Room in Juneau International Airport. His interview with the Hiring Committee and Airport Board will take place from 5:30-6:30 pm, with a similar format as Clow's interview.
On Friday June 13, 2025 at noon, the Hiring Committee and Airport Board will convene over Zoom to review all information gathered during the selection process over the previous two days.

The public is encouraged to attend these events and provide their feedback on each candidate. The final decision on who will fill this important role will be made after careful consideration by both the Hiring Committee and Airport Board.
