~ As the demolition of the Polaris Building progresses, a temporary traffic plan will be put into effect starting Monday, June 24. The plan, which can be found in the attached document, aims to ensure the safety and efficiency of traffic flow in the area.
According to the plan, several roads will be closed to vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. This includes 1st Ave from Lacey St. to Noble St., as well as Lacey St. from 1st Ave to 2nd Ave. The intersection of 1st Ave and Lacey St., along with the south and east crosswalks, will also be closed off.

However, 1st Ave from Cushman St. to Lacey St. will remain open for traffic but will dead end at Lacey St. A turn around will be available just before the intersection with Lacey St.
In addition, Wendell Ave north of the courthouse between Lacey St. and Noble St. will become a two-way street for ADA and employee access only to the courthouse parking lot.
To ensure that these changes are clearly communicated, appropriate signage and barricades will be placed in these areas.
This temporary traffic plan is expected to remain in place until October 31, 2024 when the project is scheduled for completion. For more details on the plan, please refer to the attached document titled "Polaris Traffic Control Plan."
