The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting one new resident identified with COVID-19 in Juneau. How that person acquired the virus is unknown at this time. The Wildflower Court cluster remains at 12 cases with 10 recovered.
Last week, CBJ reported on two positive cases within the Juneau School District – one at Juneau-Douglas High School and one at Auke Bay Elementary School. Close contacts of both these individuals have tested negative and completed their quarantine period, and there are no known new exposures.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,101 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 139 nonresidents. There are 11 active cases in Juneau and 1,224 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There is currently one person with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) today reports 145 new people identified with COVID-19 – 134 are residents and 11 are nonresidents. Alaska has had 54,134 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,118 nonresidents.
Vaccine information
According to DHSS, 5,842 people in the Juneau region have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine – either Pfizer or Moderna – and 3,907 have completed both doses. Statewide, 116,228 people have received their first dose and 51,204 have completed both doses.
