The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting nine individuals identified with COVID-19 in Juneau – six are residents and three are nonresidents. Of the resident cases, Public Health is attributing three to secondary transmission and three are under investigation. Of the nonresident cases, only one is new; the other two are older cases not previously reported. All three nonresidents are from the mining sector.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,025 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 130 nonresidents. There are 33 active cases in Juneau and 1,117 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) today reports 203 new people identified with COVID-19 – 202 are residents and one is a nonresident. The state also reports one recent death – a female Anchorage resident in her 70s – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 252. Alaska has had 50,941 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,664 nonresidents.
Vaccine information
According to DHSS, 3,217 people in the Juneau region have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine – either Pfizer or Moderna – and 791 have completed both doses. Statewide, 67,173 people have received their first dose and 14,663 have completed both doses.
