The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting eight new residents identified with COVID-19 in Juneau for the time period January 9 to January 11. Public Health is attributing three cases to secondary transmission, two to out-of-state travel, and the other three are under investigation.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 982 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 125 nonresidents. There are 19 active cases in Juneau and 1,083 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. There is currently one person with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 186 new people identified with COVID-19 – 183 are residents and three are nonresidents. Alaska has had 48,797 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,597 nonresidents.
